Course Overview
Misconfigured IAM roles and unsecured service accounts in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) expose organizations to data loss and compliance risks. This course describes how to securely configure GCP IAM, manage service accounts, and protect secrets and encryption keys in alignment with NIST SP 800-53, CSA Cloud Controls Matrix (CCM), and Consensus Assessment Initiative Questionnaire (CAIQ).
On successful completion of this course, learners should have the knowledge and skills required to:
- Understand the Google Cloud Platform security model and resource hierarchy
- Configure Identity and Access Management (IAM) users, roles, and policies
- Utilize and secure service accounts through the concepts of least privilege and separation of duties
- Use the appropriate services to manage and protect secrets and encryption keys
