Course Overview

Misconfigured AWS CloudFormation templates can lead to data exposure, privilege misuse, and compliance violations. This course describes how to apply AWS Shared Responsibility Model principles and secure IaC configurations across environments in alignment with NIST 800 53 v5; DoD Enterprise DevSecOps, NIST Cybersecurity Frameworks, NIST SP 800-218 (SSDF v1.1), and OWASP Top 10 API Security Risks – 2023.

On successful completion of this course, learners should have the knowledge and skills required to:

• Secure CloudFormation stacks and prevent unauthorized deletions
• Implement IAM roles and policies for secure stack management
• Integrate Cloudtrail and Config for compliance validation and monitoring
