DES 227 – Mitigating OWASP 2025 Insecure Design (UPDATED)

Course Overview

This course focuses on addressing insecure design risks highlighted in the OWASP Top 10 (2025) by embedding security into the earliest stages of application development. Learners will examine secure-by-design principles, proven security design patterns, and methods for integrating security requirements throughout the SDLC. The course also introduces practical threat modeling techniques to identify abuse cases early, and explores strategies for improving application resilience through component isolation and resource protection. By the end of the course, participants will be prepared to design systems that proactively reduce risk rather than react to vulnerabilities after implementation
