LAB 379 – Defending Node.js AI Applications from Misinformation (NEW)

Course Overview

Misinformation vulnerabilities arise when LLMs produce false, misleading, or harmful outputs without adequate verification which can lead to poor decisions, user harm, or reputational damage. Aligned with OWASP Top 10 LLM 2025 this lab gives learners hands-on practice with detection and mitigation of misinformation in Node.js AI applications, including grounding outputs in trusted sources, fact-checking, incorporating human review processes, and fine-tuning models using verified data.

By the end of this skill lab, learners will be able to:

  • Detect misinformation in AI outputs
  • Apply fact-checking and external source validation
  • Implement human review for high-impact outputs
  • Use reinforcement learning to improve output accuracy
