DES 218 – Protecting Microservices, Containers, and Orchestration (UPDATED)

Course Overview

Microservices and containers support scalable, modular applications but introduce new security risks across orchestration layers, APIs, and infrastructure. Aligned with NIST SP 800-204 and the NIST Cybersecurity Framework to support secure microservices-based application systems; this course helps DevOps Engineers, IT Architects, and Network Engineers secure containerized environments, harden orchestration platforms like Kubernetes, and implement secure communication between services.

After completing this course, learners will have the knowledge and skills to:

• Secure containers and harden the hosts they run on
• Configure Kubernetes for secure orchestration
