DES 214 – Securing Infrastructure Architecture (UPDATED)
Course Overview
Modern IT infrastructures are complex, blending physical and virtual assets that are often targeted by attackers. Without a strong architectural foundation, vulnerabilities can be introduced at multiple layers of the network. Aligned with the NIST Cybersecurity Framework and the NICE Framework for secure infrastructure planning and operations this course provides Network Operations Specialists with the knowledge to assess, configure, and secure infrastructure components using practical design and implementation strategies.
- After completing this course, learners will have the knowledge and skills to:
- Understand the fundamentals of securing infrastructure architecture using common security principles
- Assess infrastructure components for security risks
- Apply best practices to secure topologies, DMZs, routers, switches, bridges, firewalls, wireless access points, and server configurations
- Implement network authentication and evaluate the security of transmission media
